Just as well I left when I did.

3 hours to get home. M1 north of J25 is down to 2 lanes because of the snow. Most of the slip roads and junctions are snowed over.

Took me 90 minutes to do the 10 miles from J30 of the M1 to the A1. Lots of abandoned cars, jack knifed lorries and others just stuck on hills unable to get any grip.


Currently 8 inches south of Doncaster and still coming down.

Think I'm in an area up to 16inches predicted and being called an 'extreme weather event' if it happens. Been snowing already but very lightly, I'd laugh my ar** off if I wake up tomorrow to find <1 inch.
