Say it next time, bet she doesn't bother you again!
Bit like the odd woman in this office, who barely knows me, but approached me yesterday with "oh, you've had your hair cut! It looks lovely." - I thanked her, but said no, I haven't actually had my hair cut. Her baffling response was "You have!" - Oh OK - you must know better than me.
I am usually too shocked at her rudeness/insensitivity/bad dress sense to come back with anything.
You have had your hair cut haven't you? I can tell!
Desperate to know what kind of car you have MP, love cars, unfortunately have no money.
What is so clever about a whole dept for research into people called "Phil"?
Although I imagine our moneygrabbing Greek one might command a sizeable percentage of the available resources all by himself.
As for the other stuff, I prefer birds with a little "padding" anyway. Birds that are too skinny often have other "issues".
HTH
Philosophy, but you are taking the pee, aren't you?
actually my pt job is at a uni in the phil dept and i would be grateful for some small talk instead of ppl trying to show how clever they are!
commenting on other people's food or WEIGHT!!! should be a punishable offence. i'm a size 14 and okay i wish i was smaller but this skinny (and more importantly ugly) woman in my course always says 'o you've lost weight' - i wish i was quick enough to say something like 'i have and it looks like it's found you, those yoga pants are looking tight around your boney arse'
Aye. The last time that happened to me after a phil lecture, I quipped 'Repressed beings, alienated by fellow beings in society, can be liberated by humankind and the forces it creates. Domination of one person over the other can be reversed by a reversal of the social process. Since humans' repression is not rooted in their nature, then they can remove that repression. Because technology can allow human beings in western society to regulate their primary needs onto a lower plane, then technology can be used for liberating humans in the psychological and not biological sense'
it took her WEEKS to live that one down. bony arsed cow
