Lots of people voted labour in 97. Just put it down to being young and impressionable and say you got in with a bad crowd.

Everyone experiments at university, it builds character.

Surely any advice depends on the nature of the crime/incident/whatever

For example: Say he was a pedo? What would the advice be? Should he keep it as a secret from her and her children?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

We already know he's a heel.

I don't look at the joint bank account when the gf goes shopping, I forget to mention an occasional slurge on class As.

Cheating is a no no and too many of my mates are up to it.

Pedo or Paedo are both acceptable colloquialisms, and no need for 'an'.

As serious as it is, I think the "crime" is in a different league than voting for labour in a previous election.

The way moose pitched it, I get the impression that this is more than a bit of youthful hijinks and rapscallioness.

I get the feeling that it is more than experimenting with members of the same sex as well, which, let's face it, is not a crime anyway, and if it's good enough for Captain Jack, it's good enough for me.

No...I suspect this is quite serious, more so than an armed robbery, which again, if you've done the time, you've paid your debt and 99% of partners would understand.

I suspect this is far darker than that, and to be honest, I wonder why Moose is even using a medium like CUK to ask for advice when the subject material needs a considered and well-balanced review by a trained professional or counsellor.

All we are going to do is confuse the poor chap even more and give him additional mental anguish. That's neither helpful nor wanted.

Moose, get thee to a proper shrink and talk about this, and he or she will help you unravel your throughts, and together you can plot a course to heal your concerns.

I am genuinely concerned and want to see you take control of this, and manage it.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I can’t remember all the details, but if your past to do with the above saga, then can’t see its relevant to your present relationship, and can’t see it would harm it if you tell/not tell.
No, nothing to do with that. I think I'll tell her if/when the relationship becomes more serious, till then I'll keep it under my hat.

I hope not. The wife got me a cheap pedometer from Tescos a few weeks back. I assumed it was measuring my steps.
