Maybe the OP would have been better posting in the business/contracts forum since that was the topic of the questions posed?
I think the three more serious forums; B&C, L&A and Tech should be kept as such with no puppetry tolerated.
General has such a wide remit it's bound to attract more diverse views and heated debate that eventually ends up with the usual name calling.
CUK and Admin run the board as a business and so it's up to them to chose how to run it. As someone else said - this isn't a democracy and we don't pay to use it.
Let them define the rules - people who like 'em will post, others will be found spouting carp on HYS sites in the future.
IMVHO We all feed the trolls so can't really winge about people having a go. I just wish they'd try and be a bit more imaginative.

The aggression is actively supported and defended by you moderators. There have been comments to that effect and it is even alluded to in the T&Cs. It is clearly what you want.
for a few reasons i effectively stopped moderating for some time.
*one* of them was the amount of grief i got from the board whenever i tried to enforce board t&c. it is not me however who has the final say on these things. as i have often said in the past, i am but a humble mod.Comment

Other boards I use (much friendlier than here) use the "Reputation" feature of vBulletin. Basically, you get a few points of "rep" to hand out each day.Originally posted by Boudica View Post
