    I'm looking....

for a piece of software that works with Jobserve.

I wonder if anyone can help?

What I need is, whenever I refresh my search, I want to see a £650pd, locally based, interesting, 6 month rolling contract.

Also, if I could be the only one to receive this search - that would be great!

    Any info?

Would it be OK if it was working for a dumb, blind, pub-owning nymphomaniac? With a twin sister? A Siamese twin sister? With a millionaire dad in a hospice?

It's not software you need, it's a firkin miracle.

I can write software that will make you see such contracts. I can't guarantee the agent listed has ever heard of the contract though.

Not an issue as currently all the roles are made up anyway!!

          Cheers!

Jobserve do a Vista Sidebar gadget. You can specify contract/permanent, when advertised, location, skills. No pay range or contract length unfortunately.

Tells you if its interesting??? You want a lot.

PS Just looked at jobserve. Many don't say rate anyway.

            PPS Is this a windup?

I'll do the search and filtering myself for £50/day

Interesting often means sh*te environment or project. And £650/day usually means £400day. Oh and local usually means London. And 6 months means 3 months. And these days contract means contract to perm, or temp.

You probably know this but I've written this so I'm damn well posting it.. ;-)

You can set up your own searches in your Jobserve account, using AND and OR, brackets etc then get it to send you an email to your BlackBerry etc.

(FORTRAM OR COLON) AND ("WORK FROM HOME" OR "HOME BASED" OR "REMOTE WORKING" OR "CUSHY NUMBER") AND ("INFINITE BUDGET" OR "FREE GENTLEMANS CLUB MEMBERSHIP" OR "CUK SLACKERS WELCOME" AND NOT "challenging" AND NOT (("tight timescales") OR ("hit the ground running"))

                for instance.

If you have no mobile email then the solution is less slick, but what about -

                1. Set up your search in your Jobserve account which does a very broad search (e.g. your main skills)
                2. Subscribe to that search as an RSS feed using Outlook 2007 then set a rule up in that to search more fine grained for you (you could at this point also send an email).
                3. Get it to check every one minute, then call a URL of an online SMS provider to send you a text whenever it has a hit (even containing the number or email of the agent and the URL of the job if you have Office Scripting Skillz).

Then you will be ahead of the competition as the email notification job on Jobserve will pretty much always be behind your RSS feed
