when I was on the bench in 2002 for 2.5 months, I did a lot of what Chris said, excellent post Chris by the way, had a routine, searched for jobs once a day and did other things during the day, which included...
I stayed away from here, in the best of times, I am a doom monger, if this lot had known I was on the bench they would have had me doomed out, so I went absent from CUK
secondly I built a website, not my main skills but just to keep busy
