      Rich,

I think you are getting up too early.

      You said,

'Now to update my jobsearch records and see what occurred over night.',

in the European Timezone are you really expecting agents to update jobserve during the night ?

I would have thought best time to check jobserve is mid morning and later afternoon ?

Agents are human, I would doubt they would put jobs on jobserve 24/7, and expect that when they get into work, they have a coffee, and a chat and a little later add the latest jobs to jobserve ?

      Good luck,

      Milan.

Funny advice for someone on the bench! Usually it is "Get up, youy lazy sod!"

          Indeed they do.

Mid-morning is too late. There are a number of agents who ... no, never mind. I'll keep that to myself.

The agents don't. The agency's batch processes do.

Just done a 5 month bench stretch and it did make me very worried about retirement. Think the major issue is being off when everyone is working, really cuts down the options if you are sociable, like a game of golf etc.
Missed the structure (must be institutionalised) that working gives and when time off is so plentiful, it seems so much less valuable. You really need the contrast of working to appreciate when you aren't !
I did some training which helped to fill a month with pre-work etc.
I now plan to work till I can't get work...

Well, I'm 54 and play squash every week in the leagues to a good level and it keeps me fit, and I enjoy the social side. As long as you know when to rest due to injuries and not play through them it really should be no problem. I do complement this with usually three trips to the gym a week where my aim is to burn 1,000 calories each time with a combination of running and weights. It is important though to get fit to play squash rather than trying to get fit playing squash.

I hopefully finish up in 8 weeks and I am going on a massive training regime. I used to run 100 miles a week, now I look like I eat 100 wieners a day. I will be starting on 6 miles a day and hopefully build that up to 13 miles a day after a few weeks.

I have promised myself a beach holiday in Bali when I get to my target weight.

                    I love the bench.

Bloody plumber was supposed to come tomorrow morning.

The postie is used to seeing me unshaven, unwashed, uncombed and undressed (well, in my dressing gown) at all times of the day.

So I thought it was a package when the doorbell went.

It was the plumber come to fix the knackered taps.

                      Sniggered, he did. Sniggered!

                      Pah!
