Been to London Zoo, not a big fan. Might be because I grew up in S Africa and so was spoilt in that regard.

Ta for the Horton Park tip. Will check it out.

If I could not entertain myself with a bit of time off at this age I would be crapping myself about retirement. You can scratch off about 50% of the options that have been mentioned on this thread so far, squash and the like are not for 60 year olds. It is actually an important thing to learn in life, how to deal with loads of free time.

I just loved the zoo because it was the first time our daughter saw monkeys, giraffes etc. Will always remember the look on her face.

It's not so much setting up on your own, it's the fact that you'll never get truly wealthy working for someone else, and despite what people here say about working for themselves, that's still what most contracting is. You turn up, you get paid for the time you're working. What you really want is to be making money while you're not working, be that sleeping, sitting in the pub, on holiday, whatever. Think of an author, they write their book and then watch the cash come in during which time they can be doing nothing or working on the next one, whatever takes their fancy.

That's how I look at a Plan B anyway, something that will eventually bring in cash without much effort.

                    It's another day

Up at 6 and put the kettle on.

Dealt with yesterday's paperwork and had a cup of tea.

Now to update my jobsearch records and see what occurred over night.

Then to prepare for another day on this here bench.

Yesterday was not a good day. I let the 'black dog' get to me.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.
