Not really. They are having a go but I expect an early wicket tomorrow morning when the bowlers are fresh and still going with a decent ball. All over by lunch.............maybe!Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostAdvantage Australia?“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. More like duece... Either side could win it now...Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostAdvantage Australia?Comment

Indeed, England need to break up that partnership sharpish or there could be at least a draw on the cards. If the Aussies carry on like this they could pull a win out of what looked to be a total disaster, that would count as one of the all time great comebacks.Originally posted by centurian View PostMore like duece... Very finely balanced today."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

It would be the greatest come back. They need to achieve the highest ever score in a second innings to win. They would need to do that with only 1 (or is it 2) recognised batsmen.Originally posted by TykeMerc View PostIndeed, England need to break up that partnership sharpish or there could be at least a draw on the cards. I dont think this will be a draw. I dont think Australia will be able to bat all day without scoring enough to win.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

It would be the best ever. The highest 4th innings total to win a test match is 418, West Indies v Australia at St John's in 2003. This would be MUCH better than that.Originally posted by TykeMerc View PostIndeed, England need to break up that partnership sharpish or there could be at least a draw on the cards. As I said earlier, they should keep the Ashes if they can do that..."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

Glad someone is confident.Originally posted by shaunbhoy View PostQuite possibly, but relax, it ain't going to happen.
I have witnessed some spectacular England collapses over the years. This lot do not inspire me to think they can do otherwise. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is Englands usual MO.
If they do lose this they should concede the series and retire.I am not qualified to give the above advice!
