What risk is there that Iran would sell the weapons and/or technology to Syria for example. In allowing Iran nuclear weapons we could be consigning most of Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Iran to obliteration in one morning or afternoon ! I think maybe we're missing the point about the nukes.

The reason why nations such as Pakistan, India and Iran are interested in nukes is because they are the ultimate insurance policy against invasion in an ever-turbulent world. After all is this not our own justification for investing billions more in Trident? No nation would realistically use nukes first against the West or Israel. Doing so ensures annihilation for both sides.

As controversial as it may sound I think the Yanks and Israelis are kicking up a fuss because they're worried these mullahs in Iran may actually be able to defend themselves if and when they do invade.
