      I would agree with Voodoo and suggest that "minge" generically refers to the general area in question.....
      Local variations might be more specific in meaning the short and curlies.

      As supporting argument I would propose "She shaves her minge fringe" implies that the "fringe" is hair so the "minge" is the general beaver.
