Their noses (all Parties) are in the public purse trough right up to their shoulders, in a few exceptional cases up to their ankles.
Don't forget with the exception of the Sein Fein MP's who refuse to take their seats all MP's have access to the same ludicrous allowances and with notably few exceptions they all exploit them to the full.

I don't think Sinn Fein MP's are an exception. I think quite a number of those still manage a second home claim etc......

What I cannot work out is why the big parties don't employ some pen pusher to vet the transactions before handing them in.

I trust that all MPs that have claimed expenses for items not related to doing their jobs will be forced to repay them. This is the only way to restore the faith of the public IMO. You just cannot have one rule for the public for expenses and the free-for-all that we have with MPs. Many of these MPs can now look forward to the end of their careers unless they do this.

Unless they clear the slate they will not be voted for. That is their choice.
Any expenses claimed for a garden are number one priority for repayment IMO. I will be emailing Cameron regarding Alan Duncan. I will not be voting until these expenses are repaid and I suggest everybody else does the same !!

They'll probably get back in again but with an even lower voter turnout. 'Cos despite your protestations, some of us remember how bent the Tories became too. There is no difference. Especially with New Labour who are just Tories anyway.

I am a life-long Tory supporter, and I was looking forward to supporting your party at the next election. After hearing of Alan Duncan's sit-on lawnmower that he bought courtesy of my taxes, I am very angry. I am self-employed and have to ensure that all of my expenses are work-related and have paid hundreds of thousands of pounds in taxes over the past 37 years.

I feel that my faith in the honesty of MPs has been destroyed and now I am considering not voting Tory. You all seem to have your fingers in the till.

Alan Duncan and others must refund these fraudulent expenses immediately. They are not entitled to rob the hard-working taxpayer.

Please explain how expenses for gardening are work-related,
