    MPs expenses

Commons has asked police to investigate the leak to the Telegraph.

    Quick! Shoot the messenger!

The police should be investigating Gordon Brown, John Prescott, Hazel Blairs, Shaun Woodward, Jack Straw and Jacqui Smith etc for fraud.

The whole episode is no more than a metaphor for the very concept of giving people money with no accountability. When money is poured into public services, the leaders help themselves to the first tranche. The next lot is doled out to managers (who promise to vote labour, or who are owed favours by the govt)and then eventually what is left is spent on delivering a "service" to the public.

This is the epitome of socialism at work.

          Save it for the judge.
You will be judged in the court of public opinion.

They might catch one person, but their IT systems are like a flipping sieve. So the leaks will continue. If you know were to look you can essentially 'google' the stuff up. The only reason it wasn't in the papers years ago is that it wasn't 'interesting' to the journos.

The thing I find most amusing in all of this is that the government bring in legislation like IR35, force their IT contractors to take IR35 unfriendly contracts (or leave), and then are truly surprised when embarrassments like this occur.

                They really are that thick!

The Tories were just the same. It has nothing to do with socialism.

It's because those who make the rules, make the rules to suit themselves.
