will be poeple who arrange 8:00am conferance calls and then turn up 30 minutes late.
Could we extend it to anyone that turns up late for meetings please?
Some people think they are too important to turn up on time, whilst others are just rude.
Ready, aim, fire.

No, sorry. Mine go first since they were on the other end of the conferance call and kept us waiting on the phone for 30 minutes before they dialed in. We couldn't just say "ok, they arn't here, reconvene when they turn up", cos we wouldn't know when they turned up!

Oh I hate that. Pet peeve. I give them 5 minutes now max. Otherwise I walk. Tardiness
Project managers who arrange project meetings at 4pm, insist on far too many people being present, so you end up with only about a quarter of the participants actually involved in any discussion at any one time, and the meeting lasts 4 hours.
I recall one such meeting where we were discussing a particular issue. I had one of my staff - back at HQ - working on it. I got a text message from him while in the meeting, that hinted at a resolution. I just stood up, said "excuse me", and walked out. An hour later I went back into the meeting, they were still discussing the same issue. "You can forget that", I said, "I've implemented a fix".
Didn't earn me any brownie points with the management, but it felt good.
