I too switched the TV on.. and there was the Toby Jug, reading his heavily scripted ad libs. All the charm of 1980s regional TV with less substance. Noel Edmonds couldn't devise a more cretinous and patronising show

I remember him from some financial program, and I quite liked him in it, he seemed more edgy - but the One Show is just the visual equivalent of a lukewarm cup of tea and a stale custard cream - also it is a really naff name for a show

And just one more Brazil nut fact: ironically, in Brazil they are called Castanhas de Peru (Peru Nuts).
Never heard of that one. You sure it's not a mistranslation? I have heard Brazilians refer to them as "Castanhas do Pará". Pará is a northern Brazilian state.
