I found out that complete novices, with an established yet narrow niche technical knowledge but very little clue about programme/project/PMO technical complexities can find themselves in a team of 9 people at the very heart of a £500m+ change programme.

Talk about a steep frikking learning curve. No wonder I'm drinking too much this evening.

To that effect, if anyone can point me towards some kind of 'project survival for dummies' resource - the funnier the better - I'd be eternally grateful.

I'm reading the daily Dilbert already.

I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

RH, PM me with your email address. I have several hundred project management ebooks. So there must be a few you'd find helpful.

P.S. If you do, you'd better also post to remind me to check my PMs, as I rarely remember to do that. (It would be handy if an alert box popped up to say one had unread PMs.)

What puzzles me is that if British wheat is so pitifully short of selenium (1/10th the amount of Canadian wheat they said) then how did people manage before Canadian wheat was imported?

I'm assuming the low selenium content in British wheat is a reflection of the same deficit in British soil. Or maybe the soil is fine, and other British grown foods have ample selenium, and it's just our wheat that is poor at absorbing it?

              Avoid Canadian wheat

Supplement your diet by drinking Head & Shoulders Shampoo, which is high in Selenium (probably where the British wheat's Selenium went?)

Done & dusted. You can change your settings to popup when you're PMed btw.

                Cheers OH

I'm pretty sure that seleniium is good for you and that it's not esay to get enough of it from home-grown stuff...

But you can't buy them in their shells anymore for H&S reasons - they're dangerous to open!
