Fantastic! Why hasn't this information been more publicised? That would solve all sorts of problems, including but not limited to:Originally posted by Foxy Moron View PostIslam is very clear on the severity of lying. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a famous Hadith that the act which leads to the fire of Hell is lying.
Moreover, Islam abhors all forms of lying; a small lie or a big lie. Once a person in the presence of the Prophet wanted to call a small child nearby to him and told the child that he had something for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told the man that if he didn’t give something to the child, he would be a liar. In other words, lying in its smallest form too is a sin in Islam.
Police officer: Tell the truth now, is that a bomb in your rucksack?
Muslim extremist: Ach... I must not lie... Yes, yes officer it is. Sigh.Comment

I think that applies to all religons dosent it?Originally posted by Foxy Moron View PostBGG,
Aww, that's sad, telling lies is the cornerstone of global clandestine evil, sorry I mean't ChristianityPleomax
This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!Comment

There's no lies in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (all praise His Noodly Goodness).Comment

Christianity is only form of clandestine global evil with Santa Claus. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

Actually once had situation like Pogle described and the "truth" was pretty close to what you say, though was client trying to force though rate cuts instead of outright terminationOriginally posted by BrollyBonce View PostWhat nobody has twigged...
... all three of you have been told the same thing and you're all out. But giving it 100% in the meantime.
The other person was just sounding you out.
Unfortunately for client all 4 of us were "members" of the "Friday afternoon drinks session" and the truth came out then. Because we knew it was just due to the accountants trying to run the show (instead of actual lack of cash) we ganged up on client and actually managed to turn a rate cut into an rate increase after threatening a group walk out due to client's dishonesty and undermining "team spirit"
Ahh the good old days
Since then prefer to keep a policy of being honest with follow contractors on a gig, because even though they are competition they are not normally trying to screw their follow contractors, unlike clients/agents
Plus you never know when you might end up on another gig with them…or even more importantly have them interviewing you for a new gigComment
