    Erm, ok.

Everybody: Can we just put all this crap aside for a moment, please? It's not really appropriate.

      edited on RH's wise proposal
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Well, as much as I hate the guy I have to say Gordon Brown showed a great deal of dignity and sensitivity at "PMQs" today, and his comments say it all.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

            No need to apologise.

It means I did not communicate clearly enough, which is my fault, and not that of the reader.

You communicated very well old chap.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Reading front page of evening standard : Tory sources say that DC is very sympathetic to NHS due to his Son's illness.

I bet the ES made that up.

My condolences to DC and his family : its very upsetting.
