very true - I also like the way they have fast tracked it to 2015 - not sure if they will be able to deliver it by then though...surely there will be legal hurdles? -

Anyone used Northolt? Meant to be very good.
Heathrow is a hole. Just glad I don't have to use it very often any more. Admittedly, I always seemed to be going out of T2 (the worst)
The best thing you can say about Heathrow, is that it isn't Luton airport.
I still like LCY - you can land and be on DLR in under 10 minutes. It's a proper airport, not a shopping mall that just happens to have a terminal next to it.Comment

Rubbish - the tax will make people grumble about it. I don't think it unreasonable to have to pay a tax to fly somewhere, it's still a small fraction of the tax that I have to pay to drive somewhere.

Suffra-jets - like it!!!...three women wearing red sashes hurled bricks at the doors of the Westminster building at 4am.
The bricks were wrapped in notes that read: "No third runway, the Suffra-jets are back," they said.
