    breaking news (excuse the pun).

...three women wearing red sashes hurled bricks at the doors of the Westminster building at 4am.

The bricks were wrapped in notes that read: "No third runway, the Suffra-jets are back," they said.
    Suffra-jets - like it!!!

I agree that they should stop pretending that they are carbon taxes but I don't agree that thay should drop them.

I don't think it unreasonable to have to pay a tax to fly somewhere, it's still a small fraction of the tax that I have to pay to drive somewhere.

I think they only handle private jets?

A friend of mine went through there in the good old days. He was a converts trader for a bank. brokers paid for the whole lot.

Heathrow is a hole. Just glad I don't have to use it very often any more. Admittedly, I always seemed to be going out of T2 (the worst)

The best thing you can say about Heathrow, is that it isn't Luton airport.

I still like LCY - you can land and be on DLR in under 10 minutes. It's a proper airport, not a shopping mall that just happens to have a terminal next to it.

Apparently. Heathrow will create 20% of the CO2 emissions of the whole of the UK after this expansion and we will have an extra 125,000 flights a year(342 extra flights per day). Makes sense doesn't it !!

Come on, stop moaning. How else are the 250,000 new British passport holders a year going to get to Britain?

With a population growing this fast the question is - Where's Heathrows 4th runway going to be built?
