Yeah it was getting a bit much to be honest - I was smoking then too. I could actually feel my heart moving stuff around.

If I can draw another line under 2 stone this year I'll be happy as larry.

Good luck with your April target.

This morning I was 97.1 kg. I would like to go to 83 kg. But I will be ok hitting 88 kg this year.
when the snow has cleared I am starting to run 3 times per week.
I absolutely hate doing sport or exercise of any kind. Also, I always feel pathologically short of time and can not bring myself to throw away much of it on an activity that seems to me no better than a penance.

Unfortunately I am very fond of food. Also I drink a lot, especially beer. I am rather bored with my everyday life and keep eating and drinking for something to do. I don't cook for myself (in this part of my life) and eat out more often than not, so I can't weigh and calculate intake.

What is the best way to lose weight?

"lose weight". Yes, HG Wells had a short story about a man who wanted to lose weight: he had a machine invented to do this, and found himself floating against the ceiling like a balloon.

OK, OK, I want to lose fat.

AIDS works very well but does have a downside.

I'll look again that that one as soon as my remaining natural life expectancy gets down to the levels of an AIDS sufferer. Shouldn't be long.

Unfortunately there really is no other non-fatal way than to eat less calories or exercise more.

Well I'm no expert, but I would start with the beer. How much ale do you put away?

Look, if I want to make life not worth living, there are more interesting ways than sobriety.

OK, these days typically 3 beers and 3-6 glasses of wine a day (I am trying not to drink beer all the time).
