That would be a good ice-breaker, wouldn't it. "Anyone else got Tourettes?"

I know a guy whose been benched for 3 months, but he's very now optimistic as he's just received an email from an agency he's never heard of asking him to update his cv and supply refs to prepare for a 'clutch of new opprtunities' in the New Year. What could be more boomed than that

If you are in IT prospects are good - if you are in Banking - you deserve to extinction or perhaps retraining in Lion Taming.

Sorry to hear he had to go to Germany .

Couldn't he find work in Holland or Belgium ?

UK market alot quieter than europe in my sector (Pharma and clinical research) - but lots of stuff in europe still.

lots of projects will be starting in the new year too from what i hear and when new budgets come through so it looks ok

Also, just recieved an e-mail that RBS need a test manager in Amsterdam.

Actually I hate banking, but as long as they pay.

I seem to be getting plenty of non-phishing calls from agents
Just waiting for one of the applications to turn into an interview then its boomed time

same for me, getting calls from agents re jobs before they even hit the web, which makes a change.

                    Hopefully things are looking up

Unusual this. For 6 months its been dead for me. The last week I've had a number of enquiries from trustworthy sources for new gigs in the New Year. I hope things do get better. It's been really dead lately. I'm OK till July 09 now.
