As long as the time's billable I really don't care about performance reviews. If it isn't billable, I ain't turning up.

But then again, I might be right, and it would be rather nice if everyone were to consider the possibility that the other side's right. We might have less wars and general nastiness if we actually try to se the world through other people's eyes, if only for a day.
I don't think other peoples beliefs are wrong, they are just not mine.

Sas, I've been married, of course I am not a Virgin. And I am quite sure I am a pretty big sinner right now as I've not had my marraige annuled yet.

NO, intelligent christians read the bible, think about what JC really wanted them to do, and make their own decisions. You can't assume that people are too stupid to think for themselves just because they believe in a god. That's the big intellectual weaknes of many atheists; the assumption that believers are stupid. It's pretty clear that a lot of very clever, depply thinking, decent people belive in a god. I just don't think they're right on that, but it doesn't make them stupid.

There's no point in having a cake and not eating it.

Unless you're on a diet and into mental self-flagellation.

I don't care if you think my beliefs are valid, I don't care if you believe what I believe. I just want you to accept that my beliefs are my own and not (**** I hate this yanks-ism!) disrespect them.

                    does that make sense?
Ah, thanks for the clarification Cailin.

Of course I respect your beliefs and your right to hold them.

That's a personal thing for you and you alone.

Whether I choose to accept their validity is my right, and my right alone as well.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
