Simple question:
Please point me to some evidence that the, presumably, supernatural being called God exists.

There is no evidence for a supernatural being because by definition that means the being is "beyond" nature. And the only tools we have available are the ones we have fashioned from within nature. Ergo, there is no way to prove the existence of God.

I don't care if you think my beliefs are valid, I don't care if you believe what I believe. I just want you to accept that my beliefs are my own and not (**** I hate this yanks-ism!) disrespect them.

Sort of. I certainly wouldn't look down on someone for believing in a god. You might be right. I might end up in damnation for eternity, which, in the immortal words of Rowan Atkinson, is 'a very long time'. But then again, I might be right, and it would be rather nice if everyone were to consider the possibility that the other side's right. We might have less wars and general nastiness if we actually try to se the world through other people's eyes, if only for a day.
