Allright, mostly it's the same God (amongst the monotheists).

That said, the Hindus have got some awesome deities. 4 arms? How cool would that be?

I am asking for you to accept my beliefs.
      That's the crunch point.

Having your own belief is fine. None of my business.

Asking me to "accept" that you have a belief is fine as well. That's still your businees.

Asking me to "accept the validity" of your belief is a completely different matter of course.

Because I have my own criteria for analysing evidence, based on scientific empirical methodology. I would naturally want to apply that if I wanted to examine something for my own business.

As for Jesus existing, there is empiral evidence isn't there of that fact ?

If so, it just confirms he existed. It doesn't confirm anything else.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

        Simple question:
Please point me to some evidence that the, presumably, supernatural being called God exists.

Do you want credible evidence, or will the Bible do?

The Bible was written by some (relative to now) ignorant people thousands of years ago, so no.
In other words it's a human artefact and we know how wrong humans can be.

Ok, I'm not doing a great job of explaining myself.

I don't care if you think my beliefs are valid, I don't care if you believe what I believe. I just want you to accept that my beliefs are my own and not (**** I hate this yanks-ism!) disrespect them.

              does that make sense?
