I would leave country myself if I see population is so retarded as to vote for someone like Putin or BNP.

In the UK I see next to zero support for BNP they have no chance and if they had higher support plenty of people would work against them and I would be one.

There were sure plenty of Ukrainians and some Russians - the reason is that communists killed a lot of people who held different political views, so some in desperation joined Hitler when given opportunity - initially in 41-42 his aims were not clear and after that it was too late. This was for those people effectively continuation of civil war that raged country just 20 years before that.

SS were ground forces anyway, and all serious ground fighting was happening on the Ostfront. It would be interesting hypothetical question on how many British would have joined the SS if German ground forces occupied whole of England and the Govt evacuated to Scotland with the last line of defence there. My guess is that there would be more than one.

most of these guys were recruited from prisoner of war camps, not occupied civilians. The single Brit was a prisoner.

Loads of Police on that list.. including a Chief inspector and...

Former policeman. Lecturer in human rights/data protection
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

That would be against the law and common sense - in this case effectively it would be war time and publication of the list containing names and addresses of the key members of the party would be handy. Until then it is gross breach of privacy.

How many active policeman on the list, 50-100? That would be 1% of the police force then, probably about the level of national support for BNP - publishing just these names would have been fine, but publishing 99900 more was totally illegal.

The Police force does seem to be well represented. I might do some stats analysis

No. Baltic states had volunteer SS force, they were occupied by Soviet Union just in 1940 and wanted to fight - the only force they could join was Waffen SS (most people don't really know that SS was split into groups - Waffen SS was army units, tank divisions - they did not run prison extermination camps but because they were part of the SS that did it, they also got tarnished totally).

There were no Russian SS units - Ukrainaian yes, but no Russian - there was Vlasov who was allowed to form a few divisions from war camps, but I think they were not designated as SS units, either way it cost him.

Dude, I was trying to draw a comparison with something Mich the Tester was saying with something that everyone would immediately agree was an outrageous comment. Looks like I got the outrageous part right.

Re: is it illegal to be gay... well that's exactly my point, no it isn't. As far as I know being a racist isn't illegal either, so it wouldn't be right to sack someone JUST for being on the BNP list. Which Mich was advocating.

Sort of thread-within-a-thread here, please feel free to read back half-a-dozen posts and catch up with this particular sub-discussion.
