Theoretically, guys who use statistical processes to improve the efficiency of a company using the methods promoted by Deming. Whether 'tis bulltulip I don't know - but they should have some statistical training.Hard Brexit now!

Not had any first hand experience so couldn't comment objectively. Used by a lot of the Systems Integrators (read outsourcers) though. grrr had one of these guys tell me jfdi, when I couldnt get an ODBC connection to an Oracle database. Using the concept of 'Lean' and applying it to business processes that are non value add is just one application of the methodology. That's what it says in the wikipedia page, and it's what they told me on my postgrad course.
