Hawkins (the guy in the wheelchair) is going on about how he might get a Nobel prize now. I don't know why as I didn't bother reading what he's carping on about.Comment

I find him quite interesting and he has achieved a lot considering he is suffering with one of the worlds worst diseases.....Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostHawkins (the guy in the wheelchair) is going on about how he might get a Nobel prize now. Because he has predicited an awfull lot of very important physics that the LHC will effectivly support or disprove and he's been on of the major supporters of getting the LHC built. If he's right then his theories will go a long way towards producing the Grand Unified Theory that physicists have been trying to create for decades now. Definately Nobel Prize winning stuff.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostHawkins (the guy in the wheelchair) is going on about how he might get a Nobel prize now. As for the stuff about it creating a black hole that will swallow the earth, Hawkins' opinion is that even if they did accidentally create a black hole it would be so small it would evaporate off almost instantly and the only evidence it happened would be the pattern of particles it left behind. I'm inclined to believe him on this one."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

Is he actually that good, or is it just that he's physics' biggest celebrity?Originally posted by daviejones View PostI find him quite interesting and he has achieved a lot considering he is suffering with one of the worlds worst diseases.....Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

If hawkins is so clever why does he still insist on talking like a 1980's speak and spell. I would have thought he would have updated things so that he could change it to do different voices by now.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

It is the considered opinion of Physicists worldwide that he is that good.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostIs he actually that good, or is it just that he's physics' biggest celebrity?
I'll trust their judgement of his abilities I think

You are a sick man. Bearing in mind he has no muscle left to speak of and should have been dead more than 20 years ago...Originally posted by TonyEnglish View PostIf hawkins is so clever why does he still insist on talking like a 1980's speak and spell. I've always imagined all the other physicists hate him and shun him at the annual physics disco.Originally posted by Diver View PostIt is the considered opinion of Physicists worldwide that he is that good.
