I don't know what C79 is complaining about really: John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."

But the idea is that they hate you because you are like Jesus, not that they hate you because you are an annoying little tit, or as some would have it, illegally invade Iraq or whatever.

Increasingly I find the hard left can't handle those with different or opposing political or religious views, to the point they can't even socialise with those that do.

Lets state first that I am in the "Fundamentalist Christian group"
I have never had people at work hate me because I am a christian, or because I am a contractor and so in their perception richer than them. I've had one or two who disliked me, but that was a personal thing, nothing to do with my faith or wealth, and probably more in my permie days than now.
I have a suspicion that more may be your attitude to those around you than anything else.

By the way - no that doesn't mean I like Bush - which you seem to consider relevant - all US presidential nominees have to be christian - part of their culture - and the last few presidents have only left me with feelings of fear, dread and shame that I as a christian am associated with them!! In between wondering of course, what war we are going to be dragged into next.
So don't blame your faith for causing people to dislike you, or your wealth. Take a long hard look at yourself, and what image you are showing those around you

I never said Christianity was anti-war. I do not believe that the wars we are involved in are justified though - they are based on OIL - purely and simply.
