Russian ethnic cleansing of Georgians

That's amateur stuff. In 2000 Putin levelled Chechnya that wanted independence and they actually had legal reasons better than Osetia/Abhazia - casualties actually number in well over 100,000 - evidence of war crimes already filtered into dozens of cases in European Court of Justice against Russian military for murder, torture, kidnapping etc - all that is not words but actually documented and there are multiple decisions.
So now Putin says somehow Georgia was doing genocide and was shooting at civilians, he is not even blushing and worst of all nobody seems to be brave to ask him in his face why it is he could do what he did in Chechnya and now do this -

Georgia
did you inform yourself ? do you know about the georgian bombings of civilian populations, which provoked the russian "aggression" to protect the populations.
Futhermore, NATO and UK have nothing to do in the caucasus in the first place. Will mongolia soon join NATO also ?Comment

The fact is that Russia via the South Ossetians was rocketing Georgia before Georgia retaliated by invasion. The reasons are becoming clearer by the day.
Kosovo and South Ossetia are not comparable. The West intervened in Kosovo to stop ethnic cleansing by Serbia. If anything, the West should intervene to stop ethnic cleansing of South Ossetia by Russia, as my earlier link proves.Comment

Officially confirmed figures of South Ossetian deaths is 163 compared with the Russian figure of over 2,000. South Ossetia were rocketing Georgia beforehand so the Russians have no moral highground here, and also of course Russia bombed civilian populations in Gori !!
Let's hope many more countries join Nato. Strength in numbers in DEFENCE against an evil tyrannical communist state that continues to murder its own dissidents is obviously the safest and most sensible option. There will also be very strong sanctions taken very soon to teach these tyrants a stark lesson.Comment

Therefore original claims of "genocide" are false so far - I am 200% sure that if they were true there would be TV crews from CNN in those places shown around by Putin himself, why this is not happening? Because they lied about casualty counts as they usually do.
Putin armed those separatists and they were shelling Georgian territory for a long time - who the hell would tolerate that? Those shots of rockets are out of context in my view - no evidence so far they actually shot at civilians.
This is annexion of foreign territory by Putins fascist state that he so successfully build in the last 8 years while the West allowed him that. It's his graduation day - the West was silent when he shelled Chechnya so now it is reaping the consequences of that silence.
----
In Georgia they elected democratic president - one of the first things he did was to fire whole of police and hire new ones - they don't take bribes anymore (unlike in Russia and other places), stopped officials from taking major bribes too and despite Russian blockage managed to improve country big time without having oil and gas. That guy sure gets my vote anytime.Comment

[QUOTE=AtW;619516]And what makes you think those rockets were hitting specifically civilian targets? Same rockets (much more extensively) was used by Putins forced in Chechnya just 8 year ago. What did Churkin say about that at the time? bull bul bull etcQUOTE]
Here are some picture for you Atw.

I can’t repeat what my Russian neighbour (doctor working in RSH hospital) said about you. But I will call you a twat."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Mass graves in Chechnya (there were many): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:M...e_chechnya.jpg
There are few dead people on your photoes - most date back to 1992, other photoes are just vehicles blown up (easy to fake).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Chechen_War
"Unofficial estimates range from 25,000 - 50,000 dead or missing, mostly civilians in Chechnya. No clear figures for Russian losses are known to the public"
That's a very low side estimate - actual figures seem to be well over 100k. Ask your neighbour whether he was okay with that. I wasn't.
Here is some more info:
"The Russian government failed to pursue any accountability process for human rights abuses committed during the course of the conflict in Chechnya. Unable to secure justice domestically, hundreds of victims of abuse have filed applications with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). In March 2005 the court issued the first rulings on Chechnya, finding the Russian government guilty of violating the right to life and the prohibition of torture with respect to civilians who had died or forcibly disappeared at the hands of Russia's federal troops.[55] Many similar claims were ruled since against Russia."
More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chechnya_mass_graves
Look at the very long list of mass graves there.
-----
So now you tell me that Putin who did all that (he publicly said "whack them in the toilet), there are numerous proven court cases about those crimes committed by the Russian army in Chechnya, so now the very same Putin is the good honest guy who does not lie and kill? That would be new!Comment
