This is part of the problem. Gay marriages and gay adoption of children is now being given priority over heterosexual marriage adoption. Gay marriage is part of society and acceptable BUT should NEVER be ranked equal or higher than heterosexual marriage. Unfortunately you appear to be one of the 'dangerous' minority that agree with the promotion of gay marriage to be equal. Acceptable, but not equal IMO.

Homophobic attitudes like that are the problem.
A couple who are commited to each other should be applauded and rewarded no matter the sexuality involved.
Adoption by gay couples provide stable and loving family environments.
Marriage has lost its meaning to many hetro couples and having kids has become a source of income.

There should be no priority or rank in any of this.

For example, in the US, www.glcensus.org shows that 15% of gays said their current relationship had been going on for more than 12 years, compared to heterosexual relationships with 50% lasting 20 years or longer.

true: Gays are notorious for not commiting and being serial shaggers. But stats like you are quoting prove nothing. The gays I know have been together longer than any of my straight friends relationships.

Yes. You may not be a complete homophobe, but you do have issues. Have you told your gay friends that you consider them to be second class citizens, that their marriages are not the same as "real" marriages and that they should not be allowed to adopt children?

Why not equal? Higher, of course not, on either side, but not equal? I don't get why you'd rank it lower.
