Becuase over the last year I've come to the conclusion I think they did it. As I live ~6miles from where the McCanns live we've had this rammed down us for the past 12 months and I can't be arsed to explain every reason why I just think they did it.Originally posted by snaw View PostWhy?Comment

You may be right and you may be wrong. I have an open mind on this and until somebody is caught I certainly would not rule out any outcome. Let's just hope the girl is alive and well.

Boozing with pals and checking-up on their kids as-and-when was part of the problem. So no shame on my part. Sure, the cops were imbeciles, but that doen't stop the parents being partly (and I say 50%) to blame.Originally posted by snaw View PostAre any of you feeling ashamed of yourselves now that the evidence of the sheer absolute incompetency of the Portuguese police handling the case, and lack of evidence they had for accusing the McCann's, is now starting to come out?Comment

Have I read that post correctly? Are you saying the cops are 50% to blame?Originally posted by Bob Dalek View PostBoozing with pals and checking-up on their kids as-and-when was part of the problem. What about when she realises that the little girl had gone, she still left the twins alone in the room to tell hubby. That's just strange ?Originally posted by Bob Dalek View PostBoozing with pals and checking-up on their kids as-and-when was part of the problem. So no shame on my part. I reckon the butler did it. Just like in the movies..."If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier"Comment

No. But what we're reading from the publication of the police reports, and the prosecutors report on the investigation is true.Originally posted by foritisme View PostSo what we are reading in the newspapers about them is now the truth ??
IMO the McCanns followed advice and tried to keep the case public. That seems to have backfired on them in terms of public opinion cause our glorious press had a field day at the faintest whiff of suspicion. There's nothing I've read now that implicates the McCanns in any way.
In answer to sockpuppets comment earlier, I'm not really sure how living 6 miles away from them makes him some kind of expert.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith
