There's basically no one here but us chickens.

i.e. the hewers of wood & drawers of water.

Plus the odd* academic pottering about on a "duty" day.

Another wonderful trip to the dump yesterday with ancient tv and assorted bits of dismantled printer.

And a ginormous bonfire with monitor & tv cardboard boxes I've had in store since 2000.

Happily, said boxes were devoid of rodents, much to my relief.

And the rodents as well I would have thought

Just done my painting for the day. Touch of white gloss on the skirting I originally started in December. Not sure if it was 2011 or 2010, time passes sooooooo quickly when you're having fun.

the danger of painting with white gloss is that the unpaited areas which you thought looked ok, suddenly look very dirty so you have to complete it all.
