Brief Aside

I registered on this site yesterday and have spent an inordinate amount of time absorbed by this particular thread. There's a sort of Reggie Perrin pathos to it, intertwined with references to parts of the city in which I live (though never work).

Bolt fell out of exhaust yesterday, must replace it today sometime.

I think that happened on one of the last little trips out that ZeitMater and I took.

It was probably the one up to the viewpoint over Rhigos and Tower Colliery where I bought two icecream sundaes from the nice man in the icecream van.

Over slept by 30 minutes and awoke to thunderstorms and lightening, which were very, very.... unsettling.
Floods on every road on the way in (including my street), even those which were not flooded after the 40 days and 40 nights of rain we went through recently. Where the roads were not flooded I was stuck behind someone going 15 mph maximum, and braking to a halt before going through any puddle...

Took ZeitMater to the dentist due to incessant whining about something stuck between teeth/rough teeth.

Dentist finds nothing wrong.

Obviously a poor dentist in ZeitMater's view.

At least I tried.

The monsoon has returned.

Complete with thunder, lightning, rain, hail, and murrain of beasts.

If this keeps up I'm going to get soaked on the stagger down the hill at 16:40.

Nice for the garden after all the sun though. Although last week it was bright sunshine so I did some gardening, until a torrential hailstorm sent me running inside!

And is moderately clean.
And doesn't smell too much.

Trains here in Switzerland are fab, new ones, it's difficult to tell first class from second class.
A/C, ele sockets, toilets etc.
Always on time.

One thing that stopps me comming back to the UK is the prospect of the horrible daily commute.

Last time I stayed in docklands and commuted by Thames Clipper.
