Yes but I'm past expecting the juvenile brats and ignorant pigs who mostly populate this board to know or care much about anybody else. -

I completely agree with you. My brother and a good friend have both suffered from depression (not linked to knowing me of course).Originally posted by Alf W View PostI think you'll find 'stress' and things like clinical depression are real, physical illnesses and not the same thing as a 'stressful' day when someone's shouting at you to meet a deadline or when you feel a bit 'depressed' on a Monday morning.
It's all well and good for healthy people to put the boot into those on long term sickness benefits but just remember that in a quick twist of fate, it could easily be you.
Sure, there's bound to be a few people playing the system but it's probably better just to accept that as a consequence of having that safety net for everyone else.
I firmly believe the vast majority of people on incapacity benefit because of stress are not suffering from depression, simply mild anxiety, if that.Older and ...well, just older!!Comment

Do you know the proportion of scroungers vs. genuine cases? In the absence of data it may pay not to shoot your mouth off. You only succeed in looking like a cretin.Originally posted by Cyberman View PostSo let's just allow everybody to scrounge. After all, MPs have their mouths in the trough, so why not everybody else. Didn't people vote for it when they elected New Lie ?
Hard Brexit now!

Thatcher was a cretin to many of your ilk. It takes a few cretins to want to improve things

Try looking at the sickness benefits claimants under Thatcher and subsequent Tory regimes. It has been rising constantly since the early 80s. So no change under Labour then. You could accuse both admins, Tory and Labour, of doing nothing about the problem.Hard Brexit now!
