There is no damage to the front of the bumper. there are scratches front right, ie in the curve (at 2 o'cklock)

and that came later, we touched wheel arches first.

I am having a major trauma here. I can feel a six month whiplash coming on. at least.
          Hows about some male bonding.

Latest update - I phoned him my insurance details tonight. He told me he decided not to get the polis involved, ' i am sorry if I was a bit aggressive this morning, it was a bad time'

so I says 'well its probably the medication plus rushing to get to the airport'

that was that , he went up like a fkin barrage balloon, ranting and blaming me for driving into the side of him . anyway I told him I wasnt interested in claiming, as I had almost zero damage, so watch this space, he may climb down gently, thats what I want.

p.s. for those who said report it to the police. my insurance said, 99% he was to blame, if he was also on medication, he will get nailed. go to the police. But I have decided, better or worse, not to. a dilemma

I think you are making the right decision.

FWIW, you should probably report it to the plod if your insurance company says so - he'll probably get the same advice from his insurers (who will only hear his version of events) and it might then be argued by them that you didn't want to report it to the plod because you believed you were in the wrong.

It's a vile mess, through no fault of your own, but I think this is one of those situations where you need to do the unpalatable thing before the lawyers get their teeth into it and turn your desire to avoid hassle into something tantamount to an admission of fault by implication.

Oh right. Not so funny when you have to explain it is it.
