Skelm, are you honestly saying you believe in the supremacy of your religious laws over that of the state?

The states laws are hardly even applied. But thats another topic. I am saying perhaps the best way would be to use some aspects of the religious teachings ( say in matters of marriage, finances, divorce etc ) as well as state laws.

Sort of a middle ground... so that should I want to engage state laws for example in a inheritance situation I can, but if i wanted to apply the religious aspect of it I can do that.

Who knows, but thats just an opinion eh.

Ah, so it's a pick & mix approach you would prefer. Whatever suits. How does that sit with a multi-faith society where one faith's laws conflict with another? How would you resolve such disputes?

Like I said its just a thought to encourage the whole "intergrate into society" thing.

                      For example:
Muslim vs Muslim dispute = perhaps Sharia law can be used.

Christian vs Christian = Biblical law ( or whatever its called )

Christian vs Muslim = State Law.

Im not saying its perfect, but any party involved might feel that they are "represented".

Im saying this as there is plenty of finger pointing and general animosity and maybe this would assist in less aggressive opinions of each other?
