Whether you agree with it or not, the fact is that given a choice between two equally qualified candidates, one a woman "of child bearing age" and the other a male, an employer will very often view the woman as an unacceptable risk. Potentially having to cover for her maternity, involving hiring cover, while at the same time paying her. More nonsense
Giving more ammunition for women to go to tribunals and claim 'unfair dismissal'. I guess 90% of cases that go to tribunals do involve women, like for example the one who wanted £ millions claiming that she was unable to work from stress and was negotiating another job at the same time.Comment
