That's the trouble with London - no hotels

          Here: http://www.premierinn.com/

Almost all their London hotels have rooms available for Friday night - if you're planning to end the evening up in Islington, your best bets are Kings Cross or Euston. Euston will be handier for the train from and to Manc, assuming you're taking the train - it's just over the road from the station.

Nope I am flying down - working tomorrow and Friday down there anyway and flight back to manc from London City so I don't want to be too far from Bank cos then I can get the DLR and keep away from that God awful tube thing.

Tower Bridge, then? Or Southwark is even closer

Route from Bank to Tower Bridge

And if you (CM) decide to stay near London Bridge - factor in 1 tube stop or a 3min taxi ride.
