Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Tay might be surprised - I actually like NZOriginally posted by Board Game Geek View PostNZ (Christchurch)
I did a snow season there and been a few times since plus many of the wives family are kiwis, but have to say Christchurch is one of the most boring places I've ever been to. You'd need a good reason to want to emigrate there ...

I'm reliably informed that not all kiwi's are miserable, rugby, racing and beer Neanderthals (and that's just the Women).

The English played the Kiwis in the 1/4 final of the Cup on Sunday. Obviously the band were playing Swing Low and the crowd were singing along. Kiwis scored a try, and a few Kiwis in front of us were giving it large, cupping their ears.
As the final hooter went, England got the ball and scored a try to win the match. I've never seen a bloke look more crestfallen.
Mind you, he might have been miserable because he was ginger, not because he was a Kiwi."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

I dont mind if you mention the cricket, I love the game, played for years. And I have been saying since the beginning of the year that England has far better test cricketing team than NZ at the moment. The better team won.
NZ is a better one day side... but after the reaming that they got in the 2nd test... thier confidence will have gone to pieces and I imagine England will smash us in the one dayers as well.Comment
