CUK seems to be somewhat symptomatic of society at large, it seems.
I have spent several years at the sharp end of f4j - even getting arrested (can I tell that story for the 27th time?).

If bluebird had trouble seeing his lad I would give him loads of advice (via PM if needed) as I have done to several others.

IMO Churchill was wrong - I would not have made the comment. And you were right to point out he was wrong. But it is a public internet forum - and I defend Churchill's right to make the comment.

I bet ferret is having a damned good laugh now.....

      It wasn't an apology.

      Any more insults?

And from there to the sort of scummy behaviour we saw in Manchester.

There were quite a few posters, including myself who agreed with the sentiment of inappropriate passion, if not with the way it was put.
And there rests the case for the defence?

Clearly you're the sort of chap that will never apologise for anything - no matter how spiteful or inappropriate.

              Ok, so be it.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

The defence would also like to deplore the general tendency in recent times to blub, cry, weep and generally carry on at all manner of minor issues e.g. football matches, celebrity deaths (surely we should be applauding these), and other generally minor issues of real life.

Acceptable reasons for crying include loss (death or otherwise) of loved ones, having been bombed in a Blitz and similar occurrences.

Bring back the stiff upper lip!

And this is the final post of this thread. Unless anyone wants to discuss the weather?

Yes, the way those seven year olds get emotional is disgusting. It's down to the parents you see, the kids turn out as scum in the end.

I apologised for my choice of word earlier, not the sentiment. I wasn't spiteful, there was and still is reasoning behind my post.

You, however have resorted to personal insults. This topic has shown much more about your character than mine.

As a matter of interest, who the **** voted for you as the internet police?
