I'm wondering if the thing was a 2 litre model. I know I managed to upset a client who had a souped up Escort by leaving him in the distance.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away. -

My windows hadn't opened for several years, but the last time the car was in the garage for any extensive work, they cleaned out the switches and sprayed some WD40 in there, and they've been fine ever sinceOriginally posted by zeitghost... I'm actually frightened to use any of the electric toys on it in case they stop working like the driver's door window winder did.
At £237 for a new motor, it's more than the car's worth...
Quotable quote from the chap in the garage: "I see you've got a spare rear door in the boot - if the same guy you got that from has some window switches then we can fit them for you instead, they'll probably last longer"
Yes, it's true - I can't get to my car's spare wheel unless I get the spare back door out of the boot first

I have found getting a councillor onside really helps. When MR PIKEY SCUM next door started ruining pleasant woodland he did not own behind our garden they did not want to know about change of use. That all changed once our councillor started making phone calls.bloggoth

Got the car hunting bug, and collecting a cracker of a car on Sunday.
A nice 1991 Eunos roadster, black, tan leather, very well serviced, no rust, un-molested, and undersealed with wax to keep it rust free. Wooden nardi trim, and a nice new soft-top, all for £1800. Will play it safe and keep the £100 jalopy in the road for now until the building works complete, then will change over to the Eunos guarding my spot instead – a nice, but of black beauty to look at outside my window in the evenings as opposed to the grey chav-van that my neighbour likes to share with me.
Can’t wait to get it.
Will be taking the scenic route to Bradford I think in that mean handling dream machine I think.
Will easily flog it for £2500 at least, it also has abs – very rare, and essential on this kind of car I think.
Anyone else got a little roof down action?Comment

Much better than UK one though, has aircon, power steering, electric windows, and ABS. Not bad technology from 1991!Comment
