    And here is is - the League table for Actual Recorded Crime numbers (All crime types) 06/07:

    1) Metropolitan Police: 921,779
    2) Greater Manchester: 332,554
    3) West Midlands: 278,660
    4) West Yorkshire: 249,670
    5) Thames Valley: 211,324

    ...
    10) Merseyside: 155,208

                      I switched to 'invisible mode' and changed my location to 'unknown' when they started threatening squirrels a while ago.

                      Most recorded crime type: Theft from a vehicle (over half a million incidents recorded). Other vehicle-related crimes exceed every other category except violence against the person (other), at 1.024m.
