That's the reason I left the only permie job I've ever had. The boss started expecting us to work late for no tangible reward.

So when he agreed a merger with another company and gave us an ultimatum of signing the new employment contract or not bother turning up on monday, I didn't turn up. Best move I've ever made, and didn't even have to worry about notice periods!

That crash was up the road from me on the A427. Nice road that.

And the overtaker was a bloke (convicted drink driver) in a Pug 306.

The passatt driver was an old codger. Nasty business.

The police commenting on the crash said speed on speed was the main factor in the scale of the devastation.

Is that road a bit twisty then so they were overtaking on a bend? If you see someone coming towards you on the wrong side of the road the usual reaction is to at least slow down and possibly be prepared to take to the grass verge to get out of the idiots way. However if it was a codger they ran into, maybe he misjudged it too.
