The Armed Forces do not routinely wear uniform when off duty anyway. The only times it is likely to happen is if they are nipping out to the shops or bank etc. during lunchtimes or on their way to/from work. That being the case I feel we should be more concerned with individuals that abuse and confront them in broad daylight rather than asking the forces personnel to modify this perfectly acceptable behaviour. Of course in PC 21st Century NL Blighty that is hardly likely to happen.

Or are you going to refrain from letting the facts get in the way of your little quip?

Of course its also the 'squaddies fault' - "just following orders" is not an excuse, did we not learn that from WW2?
Other countries have "conscientious objectors", why not us, are we not allowed to think?
Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostIt is not the squaddies fault that we are at war, the blame lies singularly with NL. Whether you agree with the war or not, the squaddies are doing their duty, or the job they signed up for. I am sure there are a number who also think what they are doing is wrong but will do their job to the best of their ability.
Our armed forces deserve our support.
I am no lover of the armed forces or of the war in Iraq (I have argued with Cpl spud a number of times on these issues).Comment

Perhaps you should put more emphasis on the "B@nking" part of your userid as it is more time consuming for the rest of us to deduce that you are a "B@nker" by trawling through your rubbish?
An army that fights only when it feels like it!!!
What are you, French??

Threaded's sig implies that by rolling a dice you get 6 every time.
If we could repeat 'precisely' the same action, then fair enough - but that is not possible.
You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
