Repeating the same action invariably results in different results.

Threaded's sig implies that by rolling a dice you get 6 every time.

If we could repeat 'precisely' the same action, then fair enough - but that is not possible.

We DO have conscientious objectors in this country. Just perhaps not as many as elsewhere. That is why we all still speak English.
Perhaps you should put more emphasis on the "B@nking" part of your userid as it is more time consuming for the rest of us to deduce that you are a "B@nker" by trawling through your rubbish?

Our armed forces deserve our support.

I am no lover of the armed forces or of the war in Iraq (I have argued with Cpl spud a number of times on these issues).

Yes, I've already put my hand up for that one. Yes, the spelling I meant was correctly factitious. In medical terms it is the proper name for the class of disorders where medical staff harm the patients, and one of the symptoms is apparently wearing the uniform in public.

I think we can both agree it was a bit more than "expressing their opinions".
Or are you going to refrain from letting the facts get in the way of your little quip?

Yes. What is this country coming to when people can go around expressing their opinions in broad daylight. We need armed police to clamp down on this sort of thing.

The Armed Forces do not routinely wear uniform when off duty anyway. The only times it is likely to happen is if they are nipping out to the shops or bank etc. during lunchtimes or on their way to/from work. That being the case I feel we should be more concerned with individuals that abuse and confront them in broad daylight rather than asking the forces personnel to modify this perfectly acceptable behaviour. Of course in PC 21st Century NL Blighty that is hardly likely to happen.
