They certainly used to. The second time I donated, I watched, and it hurt. I don't look any more and there's no pain.
Having had major surgery and had needles stuck into every possible part of my anatomy, I have no fear of needles. ( I also have no feeling in some of my fingers, so I don't worry about the pinprick tests either ). But I'm very grateful to blood donors - thanks peeps.

Yep, I gave blood about 2 weeks ago and watched as she stuck the needle in me. She wiggled it about a bit which did kinda hurt though.
