    Indeed.
    Hard Brexit now!

You're implying that all Muslims live off the state?! Which is quite ironic as most people knock "Paki"'s for working 20 hours a day!

If it's not "they come over here and get benefit after benefit", it's "they come over here, stealing our jobs" You can't have both!!

      They can't win!!
Not at all implying that. They do seem to expect a LOT though. Look at how they expect us to treat their religion.

I treat their releigion with the same lack of respect as I do all religions.
Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion.

Spot-on! As Jonathan Miller said, Why should religion be sacred?

I think laws and religion reflect human society and customs more than the other way around, and that these are determined genetically and by practicalities and rules common to any intelligent workable society. Diverse though these rules and religions can still turn out.

I can't be bothered to read this thread in its entirety so I'm assuming the discussion is about Muslims wanting to take over the world, the latest battlefront being urban Oxford.

What's new here? You're naive to think all Muslims are baddies/foreigners/untrustworthy - and naive to think Islam is wholly peaceful and benign, that a large faction of the Muslim Caliphate isn't actively trying to indoctrinate Western nations.

Argue all you like - it won't change the facts - and it doesn't mean we should tar all Muslims with the same brush.

Has nobody warned you that a little knowledge is dangerous?

                    FFS Someone kill this thread.

                    So to finally summarise:

                    1. We are mainly tolerant and accepting, apart from the bigots
                    2. But we don't like religion stuffed down our throats and special treatment for other religions

Did it really need all this guff to get to that?

You are very wise, sasguru. How would you like to run a government department? There is a vacancy coming up.
