This "offence" took place in May and it was "er indoors"who was driving. A few months in stir will at least give me a break from the old bat.

I thought as from Sep 2007 that the penalty was very very high for this?

What happens if your car is registered on the Continent? I have a m8 in France - can I register my car there?

Don't know about speeding, although I have been flashed a few times at speeds over 100mph (I have German plates) and no ticket (I got one once from being flashed in Holland though) but I have been done for the congestion charge twice, had my car towed once. The funniest was when I was in Milton Keynes and I was watching the traffic wardens put a ticket on my car. I walked over and read it, followed by falling over laughing. They had ticketed me for no tax disc!!!

I had a French colleague got a summons for not having a tax disk on his French registered car. He called the clerk of the court, who, when he'd stopped laughing, sorted it all out.

I did enjoy driving a foreign registered car through Cambridgeshire! flash-flash-flash-flash...

Seriously, I used to work in Chambers in Temple for a few years and know a lot of barristers and judges. Let me know what wig is presiding and I'll put a word in for you. An extra 10 years sounds about right for a Rec Agent. :-)

That is true, I know someone who was flashed (by a speeding camera that is) but sometimes they don't load cameras with film, other times if the photo taken and it shows the the breaks light was on, the they don't prosecute for that as it shows the driver was aware of speeding and in the process of reducing their speed. Unfortunately I can't remember if I hit the break, all I remember is seeing a flashing light, I said what was that then I realised what happened.

OK – I meant to come on first thing this morning, drive you insane and telling you in minute details my thoughts, anxiety waiting for that brown envelope… but I failed!! I just completely forgot about it !!

Anyway not too late to start now..

DAY 1: Envelope didn’t arrive (actually I left home before the post so have no idea )…. Back to the main subject: Oh why are they putting me through this misery, the wait is really killing me, what am I supposed to do.. what will they do to me? Would I get points on my license, would they take away my license, oh the misery this little stupid camera has caused me….hufffff.. buffffff.. what do I do, anyone pleaaaase tell me what should I do
