More deaths occur from drink in one week than a year through coke...there's your scientific fact.

You may not have noticed sally but it's illegal and alcohol isnt. If as many people took coke as took alcohol you would see a different picture, that is why it is a harmful class A drug. 'Recreation use' will eventually lead to addiction, it sounds like you are in denial of your own problem.

That's purely an accident of timing. If alcohol was discovered now (Someone mentioned this before) and we had several years of sitting by and watching the effects of alcohol (Immediate and collateral) do you really think it wouldn't be made illegal?
